Amazing food - it's all gluten free but you wouldn't know it. The best baked goods I have ever had. They have this amazing coffee that is called an Ube Latte. It sounds weird but you have to try it it's ube extract that is a purple sweet potato. It is so delicious. They let me try a sample first because it seemed sus, but it is like nothing you have ever tried (in a really good way). They make fresh bread (only on Sunday) and fresh baked goods daily
My bf & I stumbled on this super cute gluten free bakery last night as we walked around Harrisonburg. We each got a macaron: chocolate w/ salted caramel from him & blueberry & lavender for me. Both were delicious. And then he treated me to their chocolate chip cookie & cinnamon sugar doughnut. The cookie is massive & just the right amount of gooey in the middle with tons of chocolate chips. The doughnut tastes a bit like coffee cake, which is also great! Will definitely be back.
I called to order a cheesecake a day in advance, not knowing if they would be able to fulfill the order on such short notice. Sarah was so accommodating and had the cheesecake ready the next morning. The cheesecake was fully gluten free, including gluten free Oreos and was AMAZING!!! Thank you so so much!!
The macarons were scrumptious & had such a nice texture; can’t even tell they’re gluten free. I’m in love with the space, it’s so cozy and welcoming; absolutely love the lil library reading nook upstairs. Will definitely be back!
BEST BAKERY IN HARRISONBURG. I asked countless bakeries if they could make me a classic caramel cake, which takes a good amount of effort. All of them said no, except for BMC Bakes. Not only was the cake as intricate as I ordered, but it was THE MOST DELICIOUS THING WE HAD EVER PUT IN OUR MOUTHS and the price was super reasonable! GET ALL YOUR CAKES AND DESERTS FROM HERE I AM TELLING YOU IT IS SO WORTH IT!
SUPER CUTE shop and Sarah is a pleasure to work with. We ordered 6 dozen cupcakes to take as gifts/marketing to local businesses and they turned out beautiful (and delicious!) They have so many flavor options and the cupcakes and packaging were very nicely done. We'll definitely be back!
I ordered a BMC white chocolate raspberry 8” cake and it was ready as agreed upon, special touches perfect (sprinkles on the sides and writing on top), and was a hit with my guests! Multiple people asked where it was from and commented on the silkiness of the cake. Huge hit - will return again and again!
Sarah created the most stunning wedding cake I’ve ever seen. I asked for a design inspired by the night sky with my husband’s and my astrological constellations, and she brought it to life flawlessly. Not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious and gluten-free. She even made a second cake just for our grandfather’s 100th birthday, which we celebrated during the wedding! His favorite dessert is a Boston Creme, and she nailed it in a cake version! Communication was excellent every step of the way, and she truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. Not to mention it's the best gluten-free bakery I've ever been to! We travel a lot, and finding GF bakeries is kind of our thing, and when I tell you she's the best, I can't stress it enough. It's an absolute MUST every time we are even remotely close to the Harrisonburg area.
I went for the ube cookies and macarons but ended up getting a variety of things because it all looked so good! My favorite was the apple donut! So soft, moist and hard to tell it was gluten free. I didn't realize they also make coffee drinks like lattes so I'll be back to try those next!
I recently visited BMC Bakes and it was an amazing bakery! I stopped by for breakfast and to study and it was awesome, there was a lot of open seats and tables, the staff were so kind and the food tasted amazing! I'm gluten free which makes it really hard to find places that are affordable and have good gluten free food and BMC bakes checks all those boxes! The little Debbie cake tasted so good and I loved the muffin, I would definitely recommend!
